Today Sony Ericsson announced the recently leaked device from Generation Web class - Sony Ericsson G705 (And Sony Ericsson G705u - exclusive to Orange).

Of course it's hard to make any serious conclusions before its release, but If you'd asked me, this phone is some kind of bright light within the last announcements. Why? Well because:


This elegant slider phone is complete with large 2.4” (262K colour, 240x320 pxls) screen, allows users to surf the internet at high speed with turbo 3G and full HTML browser, which means, G705 is powered with UMTS/HSDPA. With the illuminated zoom web shortcut key or just with tilting the phone, it automatically switches to landscape view.

Phone is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera with Up to 3.2x digital zoom, Photo fix, Photo light, Video light, Video recording, Picture blogging, PictBridge printing, Video blogging, x-Pict Story. Integrates aGPS module combined with Google Maps for Mobile and Wayfinder, Wi-Fi with DLNA, Bluetooth stereo (A2DP), FM Radio and starting from the G705, upcoming further phones will be YouTube compatible, which will gave you availability to upload or download favourite videos clips. Phone memory is up to 120MB and supports Memory Stick Micro (M2) memory format, phone will come with 1GB memory stick.

The G705 will also be available in a version for American markets supporting networks GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSUPA 850/1900/2100. G705 for American markets will be available early Q1 2009.
